This Norwegian wool was hand-painted by Edgewood Garden Studios in Washington State, and handspun in the Fiber Fizica studio. It is a 2-ply, 226g / 300 yard skein (Aran weight). It was spun using a 3:1 ratio fractal spinning technique, which will produce beautiful gradients of color as it is knitted or woven. It has a hearty, rustic look to the wool, while also having a subtle silky sheen, and a lovely squishy bounce, making it comfortable next to skin. This would be perfect to knit into a chunky winter beanie, or used to add a rich color gradient to your weft.
