Weaving Classes
In this beginner class, you’ll weave two kitchen towels on a 16" rigid heddle loom using Gist Beam 3/2 organic cotton yarn. You’ll learn to direct warp the loom and thread a two-color warp. You’ll leave with two seasonal kitchen towels and the skills to start your own rigid heddle projects. No weaving experience needed.
This class will be held in two sessions. The first session will focus on warping the loom, and threading the heddles. The second session will focus on weaving and finishing.
Session 1: 2pm to 5pm on Tuesday, November 3rd, 2026
Session2: 2pm to 5pm on Thursday, November 5th, 2026
Use of the looms and use of sewing machines (if desired for finishing) is provided. Three cones of Gist Beam 3/2 organic cotton yarn (a $65 value) is provided as part of the cost of the class, and you can keep remaining yarn for future projects.
